Jamón Serrano, Jamón Ibérico, Cecina or beef ham and duck ham are among the most famous products of Spanish gastronomy. Jamón ibérico Bellota, also known as pata negra, is unique in the world. It has an incredibly delicious taste and a high proportion of healthy unsaturated fats. While in a slice of classic ham, the fat is found around the edges, a slice of Iberian ham is literally riddled with veins of fat, causing it to melt on the palate.
The best ham in the world is from the Joselito family farm. Michelin chefs around the world choose it for their restaurants (Ferrán Adria, Joël Robuchon, the Roca brothers, Eneko Atxa and many others).
But there are other products worth trying too - ibérico salamis or beef salamis such as chorizo, salchichón, lomo, panceta or lardo are also fantastically tasty.
