Celler Credo, Volaina, D.O.Penedes, white wine, 0.75l

Celler Credo Volaina is a dry white wine from the D.O. Penedés wine region, made from the Parellada variety. The Parellada variety is mostly used in combination with Macabeo and Xarel.lo to make Cava. On its own it has an aroma of flowers and green apple. Volaina is a very delicate and fresh wine with lively acidity and a good flavour. It is produced from two organic vineyards in Pla de Manlleu (the Els Pinyers vineyard - winemaker Jaume Bargans - and the Sant Miquel vineyard - winemaker Jaume Nin).  Behind its creation stands a partnership between Celler Credo and the Granollers Museum of Natural Sciences. This partnership supports research into and raises awareness of the importance of butterflies in the ecosystem as bioindicators of climate change, pollinators and a food source for other species.
