Muria's organic honey, with a very distinctive, intense aroma of wet wood, comes mainly from Andalusia, Extremadura and Galicia. It's particularly suited to sweetening tea, spreading on dark bread or flavouring fish.
The history of the family company Muria goes back to 1810, when the family decided to go into beekeeping. Since then the company has been run by six generations. The company is based in the area of El Perelló in Tarragona, known as the "honey village", because Muria was the first honey producer in Catalonia. Their honey has earned worldwide renown and has already won a number of international awards.
