At the Teso la Monja winery, they place great emphasis on the careful selection of old, low-yielding vines. The renowned winemaker Marcus Eguren, named Winemaker of the Year 2012 by the prestigious magazine Wine Enthusiast, produces unique wines here with pronounced elegance that retain the high standard and complexity characteristic of the region.
Aged 16-18 months in new French oak barrels.
Grape variety: 100% Tinto de Toro
Appearance: dark cherry colour
Aroma: a pleasant scent of black fruit, spice, chocolate, cocoa and liquorice. Slightly mineral, complex, deep flavour with dominant tannins and a long finish.
We recommend serving at a temperature of 17 °C.
Alcohol content: 14.5%.
