The Montearruit Amontillado Viejísimo 75 Años scored 98 points in the Guía de Vinos y Aceites de la Semana Vitivinícola 2023 and was declared the best wine of the Pedro Ximénez grape variety, appearing in the honorary table of this publication, considered one of the reference guides to wine in Spain.
The release took place on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the siege of Monte Arruit, the terrible episode of the Rif War in which Lieutenant José Gracia Benítez, father of the winery's founder, saved his life and which his son turned into a brand as a tribute.
This is a limited edition for collectors with a production of only 1,080 bottles of 3.75 cl.
"The 'Montearruit' is an Amontillado with 75 years of ageing, mostly in a static ageing process that concentrated all its components. Very intense and balanced at the same time. The cask, which slept in Gracia de Solera, was bottled to commemorate the centenary of Monte Arruita's heroic deeds.
