This wine shows that the Tempranillo grape doesn't always have to be a big, full-bodied wine destined for long aging in oak. The wine is therefore spontaneously fermented in stainless steel tanks and then bottled directly without further intervention.
This Rioja is not particularly ungraspable on the nose or palate, it is simply pleasant and fresh.
A superb wine that shows the sparkle of the Tempranillo grape, with red stone fruits such as cherry and sour cherry, as well as strawberry and rhubarb on the palate.
Thanks to its freshness, Soplar is a great match for spicy and smoked dishes or even hamburgers when slightly chilled to 14 °C.
Unlike many modern Riojas that are adapted to the international market, Bodegas Moraza uses purely traditional methods to produce a fresh, less oaky wine with authentic characteristics. Instead of blending grapes from different vineyards to create the familiar flavors of a conventional Rioja, the wines are the result of the complexity of terroir.
