Kuusu takes us back to Oxer's childhood, when he tasted his first wine as a young boy. Toro wine. He still remembers its violet aroma vividly. Now, more than 30 years later, he has the opportunity to produce his own wine in the region where the seeds of his wine-making journey were planted.
The 0.9 hectare vineyard is located in Villabuena del Puente at an altitude of over 600 metres and dates back to 1920. It has sandy soil with a high quartz content and yields a low yield of 2000 kg per hectare.
Fermentation takes place in open wooden vats, foudres and concrete eggs using local yeasts. The wine is aged for approximately 13 months in the foudre.
