Zamburiñas, or scallops, are one of the most prized molluscs of the Galician Rías Gallegas. These molluscs are found mainly on the Galician coast, where they feed on plankton. Their main season is from September to May.

The scallops are cleaned one by one, fried over a low flame and then the traditional Galician sauce is added, which is made from onions, tomatoes, wine and spices.

Enjoy them with a baguette and a glass of good wine or beer.

Conservas de Cambados has been in business since 1985 and is located in northwestern Spain, in Galicia near the "Ría de Arousa" - a river famous for its size and seafood, which the company catches and preserves in its famous net-wrapped cans.
