Eulogio Pomares is one of the leading names of the Galician wine industry. His journey is closely linked to the albariño wine grape as a winemaker and grower, which is distinguished by its pioneering and innovative vision, true to an age-old family tradition.

The Eulogio Pomares winery dates back to 1920, when Ernesto Zárate began producing the great Albariños in the heart of the Salnés valley. Third generation Zárate now works with the same goal as the founder. This proven work earned them a position among the top 100 wineries in the world according to Wine & Spirit magazine in 2014.

The grapes come from the Castiñeiro property, a small vineyard of 0.3 hectares inside the small village of Aldea do Monte in Rías Baixas. The vineyard is south-facing, with a 45-year-old vine set in a mixture of mineral-rich granite and decomposed sandy soils. 

White wine made from grapes from layered vines grown on less fertile soil, fermented and aged in open chestnut barrels.

A wine with remarkable concentration and depth, it is richer and more textured than the classic Albariño, balanced by delicious with acidity and beautiful freshness.

Variety: Albarino 

It is recommended to serve at 10-12 °C.
