Artadi Tradición is a young red wine from La Rioja, produced by the Artadi winery. It is a single varietal wine of the Tempranillo variety.
The grapes from which Artadi Tradición is produced grow in the town of Laguardia at an altitude of between 450 and 700 metres.
The vines are grown using an integrated viticulture method that respects the environment as much as possible, as no herbicides or pesticides are used.
After selection, the grapes are harvested by hand and the berries are transported to the winery in ten-kilogram crates.
Once at the winery, Artadi Tradición is produced as a tribute to the traditional method of Laguardia. The wine is first cold macerated for one to two days and then fermented for a maximum of 12 days with light pumping and two daily racking.
The wine has an intense red colour with purple highlights. The aroma shows a freshness of ripe fruit combined with subtler notes of spice and a light balsamic touch. On the palate, the wine is full of rich flavours with a predominance of freshness and notes of ripe red and black fruits (red currants, blueberries, blackberries...).

Bodegas Artadi was founded in Laguardia in 1985 as 'Cooperative Cosecheros Alaves' under the leadership of Juan Carlos Lopez de Lacalle. It was an association of a group of growers who wanted to work together on a business project based on the wine wealth of the La Rioja Alavesa region. They wanted to prove that carbonic maceration can also produce great wines, and they succeeded.
The history of Artadi is linked to the memory and stories of the people who helped to found the winery and make it what it is today. Based on passion and respect for the land and the vineyards.
