Artazuri Rosado is a single varietal rosé wine of the Garnacha grape variety produced by Bodegas y Viñedos Artazu, a winery belonging to the Artadi group in the Spanish province of Navarra.
The grapes used to produce Artazuri Rosado come from land in Artazu at an altitude of between 450 and 600 metres. The vines grow on white clay-calcareous soils and are cultivated with the utmost care for the environment, according to the principles of organic farming and without the use of pesticides and herbicides. Harvesting is carried out by hand in small 10 kg boxes.
Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled low temperature according to the traditional Navarrese method. The result is a rosé wine full of fruit and natural freshness.
Serve chilled to 7 °C as an aperitif or with sushi.
Bodegas Artadi was founded in Laguardia in 1985 as 'Cooperative Cosecheros Alaves' under the leadership of Juan Carlos Lopez de Lacalle. It was an association of a group of growers who wanted to work together on a business project based on the wine wealth of the La Rioja Alavesa region. They wanted to prove that carbonic maceration can also produce great wines, and they succeeded.
The history of Artadi is linked to the memory and stories of the people who helped to found the winery and make it what it is today. Based on passion and respect for the land and the vineyards.
