A delicious wine with a thick consistency goes well with blue cheeses or foie gras. We recommend serving at a temperature of 12-14 °C. It is awarded a number of marks and the world-renowned wine connoisseur Robert Parker awarded it 94 points.
The wine comes from the Montilla-Moriles region, which is a cousin of the better-known Jerez region. It is perhaps less well known to the general public, but in both areas wine production has a long tradition, wines of similar quality are produced here and similar procedures are used. The Pedro Ximénez variety is typical for the Montilla-Moriles region and is used for both dry and sweet wines. The wines here are aged in American oak barrels and the "soleras y criaderas" system is used.
Toro Albalá was born in 1922 in the heart of the Córdoba countryside. Its history began to be written by a small farmer, José María Toro Albalá, who had the brilliant idea to archive old wines and thus produce wine jewels that will satisfy the most discerning taste buds. His work and passion have been continued by the next generations, and thanks to careful work and love for the craft, first-class wines are created that are served in the best restaurants in the world.
