Queso Nata de Cantabria with Protected Designation of Origin (D.O.O.P.) is made from the pasteurised milk of Friesian cows and is characterised by its natural, slightly yellowish, smooth rind, soft and creamy texture. It is one of the most representative products of the Cantabrian region and is produced with great care by the family firm La Pasiega de Peña Pelada, following a recipe that is more than 100 years old.

Its creamy flavour makes this cheese very versatile. It can be enjoyed simply as a snack, but it is also suitable for cooking as it melts easily. For the best taste experience, we recommend serving it with pastries and quince jelly membirllo.
