Mahon cheese is one of the most important products of the island of Menorca. It is a delicious all-purpose cheese that the whole family can enjoy.
The semi-hard Mahon semicurado cheese is matured for 90 to 120 days. Its milky flavour is refined and long-lasting, with hints of butter and toasted dried fruit and nuts. Its buttery consistency makes it easy to cut and reveals a smooth, whole and shiny surface.
It is the most versatile of all Mahon cheeses, ideal for tapas, baking, serving on toasted bread with tomatoes or the classic Balearic speciality - on toasted bread accompanied by sobrasada sausage and honey.
