Ahari is a very expressive wine, the fruit aromas blend well with the oak barrel aromas. On the palate there is a pleasant acidity and smooth tannins. It is particularly enjoyed with dark meat and game.

Skladem
This wine is a blend of 60% Tempranillo, 30% Graciano and 10% Viura. It is harvested from various vineyards located at an altitude of around 600 metres and dating back to around 1940. The soil is sandy with a high proportion of quartz.
The main objective with this wine was to show that, despite the rustic character of the Graciano variety, it can also be used to make very elegant wines. After fermentation in 500 litre French oak barrels and concrete eggs, the wine was aged for a further 13 months in 500 litre used French oak barrels.
Ahari is a very expressive wine, the fruity aromas blend beautifully with the aroma of the oak barrel. There is a nice acidity and smooth tannins on the palate.
We recommend serving at 14-16 °C. It is particularly suited to enjoy with dark meats and game.
Ahari is a reference to the red goblin from Basque mythology who used to come to haunt people's homes at night, purely for fun. The drawing on the front label is an ode to Pablo Picasso's painting of Guernica. On the back label is a quote by Pablo Picasso "everything you can imagine is real".
