This fine red cherry wine is produced by the Dominio de Atauta winery, located in DO Ribera del Duero. The Atauta Valley, which lies on the eastern edge of the Ribera del Duero, is unique due to an altitude of 950 to 1,000 meters above sea level. Due to its high altitude, the wine is regularly exposed to strong winds that clean and dry the grapes. During the harvest, the temperature difference between the day and night is around 25 ° C, resulting in excellent ripeness of the wine. The long tradition of local winery is reflected in the manual harvest of wine and its further processing. After maceration and fermentation, the wine is stored in French oak casks for 18 months.
