The velvet crab is a prized delicacy for its tender and delicious meat. It occurs mainly in the Atlantic Ocean and in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Spain and France. Galician waters are where the small cannery O Submarino obtains it during the high season from May to September.

The paté is made from shellfish, velvet crab meat and crustaceans, which are its natural food.

This delicacy itself needs no more than toasted bread and a glass of cava to deliver the ultimate taste experience.
