Iberico de Bellota Jamon is the finest and most expensive ham not only in Spain, but around the world. The condition for marking "bellota" is that the Iberian pig must have a free range and must freely graze in an oak grove, where it feeds exclusively on acorns and herbs. Before the montanery period, the pig weight must be around 100 kg. At the end of the mountaineer, a minimum of 46 kg must be added. In general, it is a condition of having at least two hectares of enclosure per animal. Some companies like Joselito have even tougher conditions. Each animal has to gain more weight and has even 4 hectares of oak groves, which feeds enough food for each animal.
