Raventós i Blanc, Mas del Serral, D.O.Penedes, Cava, white sparkling wine, 0,75l Mas del Serral is a sparkling wine that comes from Xarel·lo and Bastard negre vines planted together on the Clos del Serral estate since 1954. The latter has a unique microclimate due to its location, gentle elevation and the fact that it is protected by the Serral Forest. This biodynamic sparkling wine received an excellent score of 99 points last March. According to critic and master winemaker Pedro Ballesteros, Mas del Serral 2010 is “the most refined Spanish sparkling wine I have ever tasted. A biodynamic top wine and a masterpiece," he said in the British magazine Decanter.

Raventós i Blanc is located in Catalonia and has an incredibly long history. The family business, where wines are produced today, has been owned since 1497 by the Raventós family – one of the most famous winemaking families in the area. Today it is commanded by Pepe Raventós, 21st generation. Determination and ambition are in the genes, as Pepe wants to be among the best sparkling wine producers in the world. Raventós i Blanc always puts quality first: local grape varieties, biodynamics, low yields, long maturation, etc.
The Raventós family played a major role in the creation and cultivation of Cava. It was Josep Raventós Fatjó who produced the first sparkling wine in 1872 from local grape varieties using the same method as Champagne.
