Mestres, Visol, Gran Reserva Premium, D.O. Cava, white sparkling wine, 0,375l Mestres, Visol, first produced in 1945. 'Visol', translated as, 'wine by itself', was the first Brut Nature Cava. It combines floral and apple notes, fresh and dried apricot fruits, along with aromas of baked bread, honey, vanilla and hints of balsamic. Beautifully balanced with a long finish.

The history of the Mestres winery dates back to the 13th century, and their sensational cava Visol Gran Reserva is among the most phenomenal sparkling wines of today. Visol was first produced in 1945. Josep Mestres Manobens himself said in 1945 that this was the very first cava in history without added sugar, which undoubtedly makes Mestres Visol a pioneering and original sparkling wine.

Mestres specializes in long-aged cavas. The base wine is aged in oak, then bottle aged under corks, giving a more complex profile. The result is wines that show evolution; very austere and tense, extremely dry, with a peculiar expression. The oak influence is evident but well integrated, the ripe fruit gives a dry fruity aroma. Bubbles add remarkable enjoyment.

The grape varieties are traditional for processing cava -Macabe, Xarel·lo and Parellada.

The wine is aged for 6 months in barrels and 60 months in the bottle.

 Golden color with greenish reflections. Fine bubbles with good development in the glass.

The nose is very elegant and with an aromatic richness, where the notes of aging in the barrel stand out: vanilla, light smoky notes and balsamic notes.

In the mouth its passage is very structured, wide and clean, with very well integrated carbon. Long and persistent aftertaste. It stands out for its finesse due to aging and notes of ripe fruit without any feeling of bitterness.

Variety: 20% Macabe, 60% Xarel·lo and 20% Parellada.
