Chorizo Vela is a top quality Joselito salami. It is made only from the most pious pieces of pork that is covered with pepper, garlic and salt and is filled into fine and long veils that look like a veil - hence the name "vela". The salami is dried in a natural way suspended in the driers. It is characterized by reddish color and unmistakable flavor and aroma.

JOSELITO owns thousands of hectares of oak groves in the area around Salamanca, where black semi-wild pigs are grazed. Pig eating is natural - they eat acorns that contain a lot of unsaturated fatty acids. They help reduce "bad cholesterol" and increase the "good cholesterol" level, so the Iberian pig meat is healthy.
